Join us for a traditional Israeli-Jewish dinner at our home!

Who are we?

We are a young Israeli secular family, Naomi, Avi and sweet toddler Yuval. Naomi was born and raised on a kibbutz on the Golan Heights, to an Australian mother and a North American father. Avi was born and raised in Qiryat Ono (not too far from Tel Aviv) to a Turkish Sephardic family. Together we have built a truly Israeli home, a mix of Ashkenazi, Sephardic and modern Israeli family traditions and food.

We are both very passionate about where we come from, about our Jewish roots and traditions, as well as our Israeli upbringing. We love to share our thoughts, experiences, views (who said anything about politics?!) and of course, our dinner table. We invite you to join us for a Shabbat (Friday night) family dinner in our home (or any other day of the week).

Joining our Shabbat dinner you will enjoy a Kabbalat Shabbat Ceremony – a short welcoming of Shabbat with candles, wine, challa and blessings. Then you will join us for our family dinner with homemade food, some of which represents our different family origins. You will enjoy good local wine, challa, starters, main courses (vegetarian options will be gladly offered) and something sweet to finish with. We are not chefs, but just people who want to share our Shabbat traditions with you.

We offer friendly and welcoming hospitality and we open our home and our hearts to you.
